This presentation focuses on the critical integration of mental health screening and follow-up within primary care settings. Attendees will delve into the practical aspects of implementing comprehensive mental health and substance misuse screening, examining the facilitators that enable successful integration and the barriers that may impede it. We will highlight various models of Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) currently employed in Oklahoma, providing a balanced view of their strengths and limitations. Participants will gain valuable insights into how these models can be tailored and implemented within their own practice environments to enhance patient care and outcomes.
