Douglas Che’ Miller, MD, FACS
Dr. Che Miller has been a general and vascular surgeon in Duncan, OK, since 2007. He is the CEO of the Surgical Institute at True North. The Surgical Institute excels at limb preservation and amputation reconstruction to foster lifelong activities. Dr. Miller attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a BS in biochemistry in 1998, an MD in Medicine in 2002, and Residency in General/Vascular surgery in 2007. He returned to his studies in 2021 and received a Master’s of Health Care Management from Harvard University in 2023.
While in medical school, he held various leadership positions, ranging from President of his medical school class to Chair of the Oklahoma State Medical Association Student Section. During medical school, his peers selected him as the Most Outstanding Medical Student. As a senior, he received the OU Leadership and Multicultural Science Award. After medical school, he was accepted to residency at the University of Oklahoma, where he studied general and vascular surgery. He practiced general, vascular, and trauma surgery for five years at OU Medical Center. His research interests span Hospitality in Medicine, Happiness in the Workplace, Meteorology, Public Health, Disaster Management, Rural Surgery, and Trauma Surgery.
Dr. Miller’s heart overflows with compassion and generosity, which is evident in his founding roles in three non-profit community organizations: The Children’s Montage, The Surgical Extraction Team Foundation, and The Beautiful Day Foundation. Alongside his loving wife, Leah Callicoat, Dr. Miller cherishes parenthood with their wonderful daughters, Ava (16) and Ruby (13). Together, they enjoy thrilling adventures, athletics, and treasured moments with friends.
