B - No Boundaries International: The Tragedy of Human Trafficking

Oklahoma is geographically located to be a hub for human trafficking. Unfortunately, most Oklahomans are oblivious to this tragic evil happening almost before our very eyes. Join members of No Boundaries International to learn about the nature of human trafficking and how it may present in the physician’s practice, the Emergency Department or Labor and Delivery.  Information will be shared that will empower the physician to examine his/her own environment to identify how human trafficking may be manifested. Strategies to educate youth for protection from online predators will also be discussed. Healthcare professionals will be encouraged to develop protocols and action plans for identified human trafficking victims and incorporate these procedures into their practice setting.
