Ronneal Mathews, MPH, PhD
Ronneal Mathews is the Population Health Strategy Lead for Humana Healthy Horizons. She has over 20 years of experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation. Her primary areas of concentration have been chronic disease prevention and sexual and reproductive health education. She is passionate about meaningful community engagement, authentic ways of infusing diversity, equity, and inclusion into her work, and making an impact on the health of communities and families. Ronneal holds a Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Oklahoma and a PhD in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Maryland College Park. She is currently a Robert Wood Johnson Culture of Health Leader, serves on the board of Planned Parenthood Great Plains, and mentors other Public Health Professionals, with a particular emphasis on career development of young African American women. Her modes of self-care include arts and crafts, journaling, playing strategy games, reading, singing, watching movies, and writing short stories and poetry.
