Argenis Herrera, MD

    Dr. Herrera received his medical degree from Central University of Venezuela.  His residencies in General Surgery were completed at Jose Maria Vargas Hospital, Saint Vincent Hospital, and Temple University.  His cardiothoracic surgery residency was completed at University of Pittsburgh.  He did fellowships in minimally invasive thoracic surgery at University of Pittsburgh and Moffitt Cancer Center. His research interests include:  benign and malignant esophageal pathology, minimally invasive surgical approaches, robotic procedures and thoracic oncology. He has numerous special clinical interests, some of which are:  surgical treatment of GERD, esophageal strictures, tumors leiomyoma and diverticuli, as well as, mediastinal masses, rib malignancies, and cancers of the thorax.
