Sr. Leadership Development Consultant at Baystate Health

    Sean is employed by Baystate Health, a 4-hospital, 2.3-billion-dollar healthcare system in western Massachusetts as a Senior Consultant in the Talent Management and Inclusion Department in the Human Resources Division.  For many years he has also managed his national communication consulting business presenting lectures, conducting workshops and providing executive coaching in the areas of interpersonal effectiveness, optimizing feedback, behavioral interviewing and strategies for dramatically improving handoffs. His core expertise is in interpersonal and organizational communication. His Master’s Degree is in Speech Communication. In 2012 Sean co-authored “The Patient Handoff: A Comprehensive Curricular Blueprint for Resident Education to Improve Continuity of Care” in Academic Medicine.  He is currently co-authoring a book entitled Conscious Communication for Leadership Success which will be published in the fall of 2017. Sean is an experienced and accomplished workshop leader. He incorporates lively discussions as well as physical activities that involve everyone.  He is deeply committed to providing tools and skills that help people communicate more effectively, especially in healthcare where poor communication can mean poor care or worse.
